When You're Not Around
When you're not around,
Sad songs are so much sadder,
the moon has lost it's shine,
the sun is far too bright,
far too lonely is the night.
When you are not around,..
Mornings come too early,
Birdsong arrives too cheerful,
Days last way too long,...
It is a brand new world
with sad searing old heartache.
When you're not around,
All Laughter is too Loud,
there are no hopeful dreams,
Life is too Long it seems,
Your lips do not press mine.
When you're not around,
Most memories bring pain.
Life has Lonely challenges,
And it is like trying to hide
a fire in the dark, I carry it
around in my heart.
