Poetic Love's Poetry Corner Love Poem, Dreams Of Blue

In the velvet darkness of the night,
I'd sail into my land of dreams,
Carrying with me visions of you,
And thoughts of what you'd meant to me.
I'd dream of the days when you had laughed,
And of the days when you had cried.
Of days when you were happy,
And days when you were sad, and I almost died.
And in my solitary dreams of blue,
I'd search for my comfort there with you,
Where I would while away those lonely hours,
And live once more those long lost days,
When love was alive, and love was true,
And the Universe .... was ours.
