Poetic Love's Poetry Corner Love Poem, Tempest

As the sea... in mighty splendour...

Swells up and rolls towards the shore...

Tossing... turning... swirling...

White crested waves, to the fore...

Rolling on and over... in dog-fight fashion,

Racing to pound the virgin sands once more.

And as the sands lay in open surrender...

To take once more the pounding sea...

So I know... how sweet and tender...

Your body... eagerly... waits for me...

And like the sea... the sand it caresses...

With fingers of endless forms...

Takes each grain and lovingly posses's...

'Til all are moist... tender and warm...

And so with thee... my love...

Like the sea... I will find your shore...

and there will lie...content... to be...

In your arms forever more...
