Someday when the world with me is through
my heart will still hold all my love for you
perchance never in all my living days
ever will I know why you had to go away
when you were here I spent nights crying
yet as you were leaving in part I was dying
if only you knew all the things I didn't say
maybe then you wouldn't have needed to go away
all I understand is being true to your heart; you
were truly gone before you began your new start.
You came to my life in a time of pure
happiness
your name means 'gift from god'; me the sorceress
you were always my sunshine after life's many rains
thinking you perpetually by my side, oh, so vain...
you were my beautiful special little shining star
son when you grew older you simply said au revoir
just like the man you are not yet with your underwear
in a 'poof' you left my life now living elsewhere
although once upon a time you were my everything
you alighted away from me on your new wings.
It was the toughest thing I ever had to
lie
showing no love when we all began to cry
walking away the hardest thing ever I had to do
turning around pretending I do not love you
could not let you see what you meant to me
made up my mind my heart you would not see
even though in the end you made us blue
my deepest heart will always be true to you
now there is someone else to tuck you in
Baby life turned around we all began again.
