Today the world looked bright

tomorrow I know will be alright,

But yesterday was rather blue,

I laid in bed and thought of you,

How long ago we kissed goodnight,

and watched the stars above,

I loved you then I love you now

 because we were both in love,

And on that day you went away,

you took my heart and soul,

But I will find you my darling one day 

and in the moonlight we will stroll.
