We may not get together too often through the year
But I know you think of me
The way in thought keeps me near
For true friends can communicate
Though not a word is said
And so we'll speak from the heart
Through the years that lay ahead
We were such good friends and that meant so much
Because very often I look for that special touch
That lets me know my friend is always there
To say you understand and say you care
The days and years go swiftly by
And all too soon we find
We haven't spoken of the things
That often come to mind
And so today I would like to say
That you have been and always will be
That someone who is
