My very good friend,
My companion when I was lonely.
There may have been others,
But my heart longs for you only.

I thank you for remembering me,
Even though I am far away.
I thank the lord for you each night,
As I kneel down to pray.

I have a dream that possibly,
Never will come true.
You may ask what is my dream,
My dream is a lifetime with you.

I hope you know just what I mean,
By these simple words I write.
I pray some day you'll marry me,
And be dressed in a gown of white.
